ATTENTION LONG ARM QUILTERS
For the FIRST time ever, see the BACK of your quilt AT THE SAME TIME you are quilting the top!
This brand-new monitoring device allows you to view a magnified portion of the BACK of your quilt while you are quilting the top. Now you can make adjustments for tension problems, loops, uneven or skipped stitches, tucks or folds in the back fabric, even a "stray" thread BEFORE you have gone too far, and you are faced with hours of unpicking.
Whether you are freehand quilting, using a pantograph pattern or a computerized program, this will work for you! Glancing at the back of your quilt as you go will allow you to make any adjustments necessary for a perfectly quilted back. A QUILTER'S EYE can be attached to your hand or computer-guided quilting machine easily in minutes. Relax and enjoy peace of mind while quilting BEFORE you roll your quilt up and find work that needs to be pulled out!
Using a mirror DOES NOT give you a CLEAR picture of your tension, uneven stitches or loops. A hand held mirror is frustrating because it can only show a few inches on the sides of your quilt because your arm is only so long - and not a clear view at that. A mirror mounted on a "stick" doesn't help because your eyes can't focus on an image far away. A mirror on the table covers your pantograph pattern. It also requires you stopping and restarting, going back and forth from the front to the back of your machine trying to make the proper adjustments and then rechecking. All of this in the hopes of not having to unpick too many unsightly stitches. A fellow quilter mentioned that she spent 31 hours unpicking one pass she had made on a customer's quilt before she could see she had tension problems. STANDING on the back side of your machine and UNPICKING stitches is a tiring and frustrating job and can be damaging to the quilt! Remember--time is money.
DON'T LET THIS BE YOU!
Using a flashlight to see the back of your quilt DOES NOT allow you to see your stitching clearly, if at all - not to mention the PAIN of getting up and down on the floor!
A QUILTER'S EYE shows you a CLOSE UP and MAGNIFIED view of your stitching AS you are quilting! Now you can see any irregular stitches, loops, tucks or fold on your back, even locate a label or "no quilting" area. Glancing at your Quilter's Eye monitor will give you PIECE OF MIND while you are working because right in front of you is a VIEW OF THE BACK!"
